Get ready for lavish costumes and set design, sword fighting, and no shortage of that classic Shakespearean drama, all scored by a live orchestra.

This production is packed with both international and local talent, with some of the world’s finest dancers and a guest conductor for select performances. Romeo & Juliet is set to be a fantastic spectacle featuring over 72 dancers and 720 costume pieces.

Acting Artistic Director Greg Horsman notes that “Queensland Ballet is the only Australian company to be granted the right to perform this work by the MacMillan trust, and the dancers, having now performed multiple MacMillan works, have a strong understanding of his choreography and the artistry required to perform such a momentous ballet”.

Romeo & Juliet will be showing at QPAC’s Lyric Theatre from the 21st-29th March with tickets starting at $65, and discounts for students and under-30s — make sure you secure a ticket from Queensland Ballet so you don’t miss out!
