Visiting a friend, a simple call to health,
You came out of nowhere, completely out of stealth.
Draped in crimson red, bold and free,
A presence unexpected, a twist in destiny.
At first, your gaze felt sharp, a touch judgmental,
Yet, beneath the surface, a depth elemental.
Perhaps it was my folly, too sentimental to see,
The layers of your being, the truth in thee.
As quickly you came, you would also disappear
Ghosted for reasons that remain unclear;
Is there an explanation? Your self-blame seemed unlikely
Surely, it was not because I had been too knightly
Now, I’m ever present, but it was never my plan,
Just one day, I wish you would help me understand
If you do end up reading this, though it seems improbable,
I fully expect you’ve moved on, rekindling now impossible.
